The Scientific Committee is as an independent neutral body to ensure that NDRD is initiating, developing and coordinating high quality international scientific research on drylands and sustainable development in the GCC region.

The work of the Scientific Committee shall be led by the
Chair of the Scientific Committee who shall be a member of the Executive Committee.
